Eileen Johnson Obituary
Eileen lived with her sister Nancy, her brother-in-law John Ashley, and her nieces, MaryElizabeth Bambi (Harry), Patty and Clare Ashley. Eileen's large family includes her other siblings: Catherine Lieberman, Robert Johnson (Kathleen), Sheila Johnson, Jack Johnson (Midge), Kevin Johnson (Laura), Marian Johnson, Brian Johnson (Kate); her other nieces and nephews Neale, Bridget, and Patrick Boyle; Bob Johnson, Kristin Argento; Andy and Dan Johnson; Hilary and Ben Johnson; Michael and Carey Humes; Brandon, Sarah, Matthew, and Emily Johnson; her first cousins: Patricia Nosovitch, Sheila O'Donnell; Kathy, Gary, and Miriam Beckman; Riley and Larry Johnson, and many beloved aunts, uncles, grandnieces, grandnephews and other cousins.
Eileen "Bean" taught all who knew and loved her to pause and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She loved her family with all her heart as we loved her. She enjoyed listening to and singing along to jovial music, was known for her stencil artwork, and had a love for bowling. Eileen worked at the day program at Via for 38 years where she made many beautiful friends. Eileen loved wearing snazzy sweaters, hats, sunglasses and headbands. She always brought a smile and lighthearted feeling to all those around her and was loved by everyone. The many stories and memories of Eileen will forever live on - for she truly is "a jolly good fellow."
Services will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Dr., Orefield, Pa. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations can be sent to Via of the Lehigh Valley in Eileen's honor. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown. www.stephensfuneral.com

The Ambrogio family will always have the fondest memories of Eileen visiting with us to play the piano and she loved singing "these boots are made for walking". I always enjoyed how she could tell my twin sister Bev and I apart! She was sweet and loving. May her memory be a blessing to us all!

To the Johnson Family,
So sad to hear about Eileen's passing, our 'Angel'. She was only four years old when I first met her and I believe she became my inspiration for my life's career. She was truly the forerunner for all those who followed in her footsteps as education and research changed forever with inclusive programs/strategies for all Special Needs individuals.
All your love, tenderness and support you all provided throughout her life and especially the Ashley Family in her latter years, was truly observed and shared by all, a story of great love and the blessings of a rich life for Eileen! God bless you all, we will truly miss her and the joy she brought into our lives!
