Elizabeth A. Scharfenberg

Elizabeth A. Scharfenberg, 100, died April 4, 2018 in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Chatwin A. Scharfenberg. Born in Dobbs Ferry, NY, she was the daughter of the late Laurence and Martha (Strache) Patterson. Elizabeth was a 1938 graduate of Mount Holyoke College. She was a charter member of Nativity Lutheran Church, Allentown. Elizabeth was a pre-school teaching assistant at the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown for 10 years until retiring. She was a life member of the American Association of University Women, a former volunteer at the Parkland Library and the Good Shepherd Home. Survivors: Sallie wife of David I. Brainard of Acton, MA, Susan Shiery of Zionsville and Martha wife of William A. O'Meara of Plymouth, MA, 5 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren and Numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 2 P.M. at Nativity Lutheran Church 4004 W. Tilghman St. Allentown, PA 18104. Arrangements by the J.S.
