Emma Welsh Obituary
Emma E. Welsh, 94, of Coopersburg, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013. She was the wife of the late Harold H. Welsh, Sr. Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Milton R. and Lillie (Walp) Croman. Emma was a graduate of Quakertown H.S., Class of 1936. Mrs. Welsh was the bookkeeper for Welsh Chevrolet in Coopersburg for 28 years before retiring in 1985. Previously, she was the bookkeeper for Coopersburg Granite Works for nine years. Mrs. Welsh was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Coopersburg. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and was a member of the Senior Citizens Agency on Aging, both in Coopersburg. She was also a member of the Coopersburg Historical Society. Survivors: Son: Harold H. Welsh, Jr. of Coopersburg; daughter: Linda Rems of Allentown; granddaughters: five; great grandchildren: 15. Emma was predeceased by a son Larry Welsh, a brother and a sister. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Friday, St. James Lutheran Church, 333 E. Oxford St., Coopersburg, 18036 Call 10 - 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. Allentown. www.stephensfuneral.com. I am sorry to hear of Emma's passing. She was such a wonderful & caring lady. Sometimes you meet someone that made a huge difference in your life. Emma was that person for me. I am extremely blessed to have known her.
