Your dad was a volunteer extraordinaire, he had such a positive attitude, worked hard to complete the job and showed up faithfully, even in bad weather. We will miss him.

I regret I was unable to attend the viewing to tell you in person. I truly enjoyed working with him.

JoAnn,

I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies to you and your family at what I know is an incredibly sad time. The loss of a parent is profound and changes us forever.

As the pain of these first few days fades, I hope you'll find yourselves remembering all of the good times you shared with your father and all of the love he gave you throughout the years.

He is only gone from this world. He can live in your hearts forever.

To the family ... our sincere sympathies on the passing of one of the finest gentleman we've known.
Gene was a voice of reason in our Union,a former Secretary and a good all-around man. He helped out in every aspect of our organization.
After retirement, he often got together with other retirees. It was always good to see him and listen to his thoughts. Thanks for being there.

JoAnn: My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your dad. I was moved by reading about how he had spent so much of his life in the service of others--first, in the Armed Forces, then as a letter carrier and, later, as a volunteer. He must have been a wonderful man; you and your family we truly blessed to have had him for so many years.
