Frank Reese Obituary

Frank S. Reese, Jr.
Frank S. Reese, Jr., 85, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., Pottstown, PA, formerly of Easton, PA, husband of Roberta P. (Pfenning) Reese, died Sunday at his residence. Born in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Frank S. and Alice (Searles) Reese, Sr. Mr. Reese was a 1944 graduate of Easton High School. He worked as a Group Supervisor in the Engineering Department at Metropolitan Edison Co., Easton for 39 1/2 years. Mr. Reese served briefly in the United States Navy, during the end of WWII. He was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Easton; a member of MET ED Retirees and the Fleas Club in Easton. Mr. Reese built a vacation home in 1977 at Lake Wallenpaupack and following his retirement in 1987 he and his wife were snowbirds, spending summers at Lake Wallenpaupack and winters at their home in the La Casa Mobile Home Community in North Port, FL. There he was active in swimming, tennis and golf. In 2001 he and his wife sold their home at Lake Wallenpaupack and spent summers at a new home in Fairfield Glade, TN. In 2008 they returned to their Pennsylvania roots to their residence in Lower Pottsgrove Township outside Pottstown, PA. Mr. Reese loved all sports, especially swimming, tennis, golf, and snow skiing. Survivors: Surviving in addition to his wife with whom would have shared 55 years of marriage on June 1st is one son, Daniel R. Reese, Phoenixville, PA and one daughter Susan R. Berger, wife of Gregory Berger, Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Berger; and one sister, Geraldine Bonora, Easton, PA. Services: Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Easton Heights Cemetery, Easton, PA. There will be no viewing. Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington, D.C. 20077-7491, www.arthritis.org.
