George J. Kimock

1931 - 2018

George J. Kimock, 86, of Bethlehem, died at home on Sunday, July 29, 2018. He was born October 5, 1931 in Hazel Brook, PA; son of the late Joseph and Mary (Mriglot) Kimock. George is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Sweeney) Kimock. George was a 1949 graduate of Liberty High School and 1966 graduate of Moravian College. He proudly served in the US Army from 1949-1953. George retired in 1991 after serving as a district administrator for the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed by his wife; children, Mary Rose DiMaria and husband, Nicholas of Bethlehem; Dorothy Posh and husband, John of Bethlehem Twp.; and Joseph Kimock and wife, Staci of Englewood, FL; as well as his grandchildren, Nicholas and Lauren DiMaria; Joseph, Jack, and Noah Kimock; Ian, Ariel, and Micaela Posh; great grandchildren, Emily and Caroline Kimock; and sister, Anna Urban. George was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Kehm and Theresa Kimock and his brother, Joseph Kimock. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 9-10 a.m. with a service to immediately follow at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042.
