George A. Wallace
George A. Wallace, 85, of Palmer Township, PA passed away Sunday, May 7, 2006 in his home. He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Butler) Wallace and they have observed 59 years of marriage. Born October 17, 1920 in Lake Ariel, PA he was a son of the late Alfred and Beulah (Swingle) Wallace. He was a member of Faith Community Assembly of God Church in Easton and attended the El Shaddai Assembly of God Church in Nazareth. He was a A US Navy veteran who served during both World War II and Korea. He worked at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 32 years until his retirement in 1982. Survivors: In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Donald H. Wallace Sr. and wife Carol of Madison Township, Bradley G. Wallace andwife Candace of Moore Township; a daughter, JoAnn E. Hein and husband Ronald of Walnutport; 11 grandchildren and seven great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Ann and a brother, Paul. Services: Military funeral services: 1 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006 from Hamlin Assembly of God Church, Rts. 191 and 590, Hamlin, PA 18427. Viewing: call from 10 a.m. to time of services Thursday in the church. Interment: Mt. Cobb Cemetery. Arrangements: George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Moorestown. Contributions: El Shaddai Assembly of God, 585 Rose Inn Ave, Nazareth, PA 18064 or Faith Community Assembly of God, 3000 Freemansburg Ave, Easton, PA 18045.
