Gloria Mae (Derhammer) Swope, 66 of Moore Township, PA passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, PA. She was the wife of the late George W. Swope; he died in 2003. Born in Moore Township, PA on September 6, 1943; she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Esther (Althouse) Derhammer. Gloria worked for 14 years at the former Laneco Department Store, Nazareth. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ- Little Moore, Danielsville, PA. Gloria will be sadly missed by her devoted family. Survivors: She is survived by a son Michael G. Swope and his companion Rita Tomaino; three sisters, Gladys Heckman and husband Robert, Grace Eckert and husband Leroy, Lorraine Grider and husband Robert; six brothers, Ralph and fiance Elfrida, Allen and wife Dolores, Gordon and wife Peggy, Leon, Lester and wife Ellen, and Carl and wife Gloria; her aunt and uncle Myrtle and Mark Schwartz; mother-in-law Grace Swope; nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Services: 11 a.m., Thursday, December 17, 2009 in Geo. G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Dr., Route 946 Village of Moorestown-Bath, PA 18014. Interment: New Hope Cemetery, Little Moore, Danielsville, PA. Viewing: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
