Dear Roselee, So very sorry to learn of Gordon´s passing from Mike Gabriel today. Gordon was a wonderful friend, colleague and scholar to me and all of us in the History Department. I know he will be sorely missed by your family and his many friends. I will always be thankful to you both for putting me up while house hunting back in 95´. I hope you will find comfort knowing how very special he was to all us privileged to call him a friend.

I only got to know Gordy a few years ago as a member of his golfing family. He inspired me with his zest for life and the wisdom that only comes with age. He will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to his entire family.
