Harold E. Hal Keeler, 81, of Neffs, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005, n Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Marion T. (Turner) Keeler. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last July 12. Born in Shoreham, Vermont, Harold was the son of the late Rollin J. and Maud E. (Aines) Keeler. He was the owner and operator of the former Neffs Equipment Center, 1983-91. Prior to that, he was a farm equipment store manager for Agway Inc., in Chapmans and for International Harvester Store, formerly located in Schnecksville, for many years. After retiring, he worked part-time as a bus driver for Parkland School District, 1983-91. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the Army during World War II, achieving the rank of staff sergeant with the 126th General Hospital at Leyte, Phillipines. He was a member of the Upper Lehigh Lions Club, Schnecksville, where he served as president in 1981. He was the former treasurer for District 14-K Charitable Enterprises and served as chairman and originator of the Lions District 14-K High School All-Star Soccer Classic since 1981. He received the District 14-K Governors Award in 1995 and the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 1997. Survivors: Wife; son, Charles H. and his wife Susan J. Keeler of Essex Junction, Vermont; daughter, Kathy I., wife of Michael Kumernitsky Jr. of Schnecksville; grandchildren, Benjamin C. Keeler, Aaron M. Keeler, Ashley J. Kumernitsky. Services: A memorial service will take place on Friday, February 18, 2005, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 Tilghman St., Allentown. Visitation, 2-3 p.m. Friday in the chapel. Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville, is in charge of arrangements.
