Harris Brown Obituary

Harris V. Brown 89 of Schuylkill Haven passed away at his home on Friday. Born April 7, 1927 he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Brown. Harris served in the United States Army and was one of only 10 men selected to become an orthopedic mechanic. He assisted other soldiers who lost limbs while in service. Harris was a man of many abilities and talents. He was a master electrician, a carpenter, a plumber and artist. Harris was an active member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven and had served the church in many capacities including as a lecture. Harris will be greatly missed by the many who loved him. He always had the ability to make others feel special as if they were the only person in the room. Survivors: his wife the former Bonnie Richards. He is also survived by his children; Vinette Achtert wife of Kenneth of Delaware County, Harris R. Brown of Florida, Eric M. Brown husband of Marissa of Minersville, Tara N. Brown of New Ringgold, and step-son Massie Gibson of Northampton. We'll always remember Harris's warm words and bright smile as well as all the good times we had when we went dancing with him and Bonnie. May God bless him and his family abundantly. His passing will certainly leave a void in the whole community.
