Another true American Patriot has now passed on. I’d known Col. Harry Yoder for over 50 years, first really getting to know him, when I worked at the Boyertown Body Works, back in 1974. A very, very humble gentleman, I spent many hours talking with him about his experiences during WWII and the post-WWII Berlin Airlift. He loved this country and he contributed a very large part in helping to defeat Nazi Germany, piloting his B-24 bomber. I last saw Col. Yoder back in October and as usual, he was always smiling. I’m just sorry that I could only talk very briefly with him, at that time. However, I’ll never forget all of the times that we did have discussions together. I know that I’m not alone, but he’ll be missed very much. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Ardath, Pastor Keith & Sandy, Barbara, and their families.
