Herbert Middleton Obituary
Herbert Middleton, 72, of Allentown entered eternal life on Tuesday July 6, 2010 at Bamberg County Hospital. Herbert was born in Bamberg, SC and was the beloved son of Eugenia Middleton of Allentown and the late Herbert Middleton Sr. His early education was obtained in the Bamberg County School System in Bamberg, SC. After making Allentown, PA his home, he obtained employment with Alvin H. Butz Construction Co. of Allentown and remained a dedicated employee until retirement. Herbert was a Past Master of the Sons of David Lodge located in. Allentown where he earned the high Masonic ranking of 33rd Degree. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, gardening and vacationing. Survivors: Herbert will be dearly missed by his wife, Jeanette; mother, Eugenia; sons, Jimmy Lee (Michelle) of Earhardt, SC, Steve (Kathy) and Shaun (Anne) both of Allentown, PA; daughter, Shannon of Atlanta, GA; two stepchildren, John Dee and Cynthia Rosario; four grandchildren, Italia, Jadin, Tiara, and Malachi; aunts, Mattie and Celia Mae both of Brooklyn New York; brothers, Herman, Prince and Joseph all of Allentown, PA; sisters, Pearline and Barbara of Allentown, PA and Genetha Powell (Elaster) of Gaston, NC; along with a host of nephews, nieces and extended family members. He was predeceased by a brother, Freddie and two sisters, Caretha and Elizabeth. Services: Monday, July 12 at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church, 302 N. Sixth Street, Allentown. View from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service. Masonic Service at 10 a.m. Arrangements: Jesse Johnson. Funeral Home, Allentown.

Janet and family,
We are so very sadden by Herbs passing. Things will just not be the same around here. Nick will very much miss his friend. Nick will miss the everyday conversations they shared. We will all miss Herb! He was always there to lend a helping hand. Keep his memories to help you through this very tough time. We will one day have those conversations again.
