Still miss Alan at our Malvern class reunions. Particularly as we were boarders and only a few leaving together at Alber's Hall, playing music as hard as we could.

I was just a little girl when I knew Alan, but his light was shining bright even then and he was always so kind to me. We kept up on FB until his last days and for that I will be forever grateful. A very special soul.

I met Alan...or J. Alan, as we called him, in the 1990's when he was helping my Mom start her weekly newspaper, selling advertising. Whenever he entered a room people smiled! He was always the life of the party as I'm sure he still is. My condolences to his family.

Spent much of our lives together as friends and neighbors. I'll never forget our best day together trout fishing up at the Lacawaxen. P.S. Anita grilled the fish. We'll have a toast for you with Tom & Eileen at Musikfest.

Love Ya!! Alan

Donna and Family,

I'm very sorry for your loss. Alan was a good man and a hell of a drummer. I knew him also from the Pickins days and my wife Donna worked with him before she retired from the county. He will be missed. Like the song says that my brother co-wrote with Pickens, " Time can only move you on." So, from one drummer to another, RIP Alan. You won't be forgotten any time soon.

Alan was a great man and friend. I'll always remember his days at the University Club and when he had his Z-24 in the 90's.
