James Luzader Obituary

James A. Luzader, 70, of Bethlehem, transitioned into eternal peace on August 7, 2023, surrounded by the natural beauty that brought him so much joy. Devoted husband to Kathleen M. Tierney, Jim's heart truly shone brightest when he was nurturing, teaching, and creating memories with his children and grandchildren. These intimate moments of love and care are among his most cherished legacies. Born in Monroeville, PA on May 12, 1953, to James E. Luzader and the late Dolores (Thompson) Luzader, Jim had a profound appreciation for the outdoors. Whether birdwatching with precise attention or admiring the vast expanse above as a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society, he always found solace in nature. In his professional journey, Jim dedicated his skills to the field of medicine, serving in Sales at the Cyrex Company of California. His contributions in bridging innovative medical solutions with those in need have left a lasting impact on countless lives. Outside of work and family, Jim's commitment to the community shone through his unwavering support for the democratic process, where he honorably served as a Judge of Elections in Bethlehem.

Surviving Jim are his wife, Kathleen; father, James E. Luzader, husband of Kathy; son, Jonathan S. Luzader, husband of Marua; daughter, Katrina A. Luzader; and precious granddaughters, Ella, Olivia, Ava, and Isabelle. His memory will also be held close by brothers, John Luzader, husband of Susan, and Mark Luzader, as well as sister-in-law, Holly Vath. He joins his late mother, Dolores, and his brother, Richard Luzader, in eternal rest.

A heartfelt Celebration of Jim's vibrant life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Jim and Kathy's Home in Bethlehem. Those wishing to honor his memory can RSVP at [email protected].

In continuing Jim's legacy, contributions are welcomed to the Second Harvest Food Bank at 6969 Silver Crest Rd, Nazareth, PA 18064, or ArtsQuest at 25 W Third St, Bethlehem, PA 18015. I was another Allergy crew member. Jim was my colleague, boss, mentor and friend. We shared many laughs and fun times through the years. I know that his family was so important to him and that being PapaLu was always a topic of conversation. Please accept my sincere condolences. I know he will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He was a great guy. RIP JimmyLu. Cindy Townsend

Dear Kathleen and family,

Unfortunately, I had not seen Jim for some time, but our paths crossed many times at various allergy meetings over the years. I am deeply saddened by his passing. This picture was taken in February of 2014 when he finally convinced me to go snowmobiling with him and Dr. Todd Meyer (middle) at one of those meetings in Truckee, CA. I was reluctant at first, but we had a great time just as he'd promised we would. He was always up for an adventure it seemed and it was always a great time when Jim was around, whether at work or play. However I do have to admit it was a bit frustrating to never be able to beat him playing pool. I'll also miss talking with him when OSU would play Penn State in football. I never met you, Kathleen, or any of the family, but I know that he loved you qll very much from some of our conversations. Everyone who met Jim, loved him. He made it easy to do. I'm praying for you all and I pray that we'll see him again just as our good Lord, Jesus has promised.

Growing up in Monroeville, my family visited Uncle Jim and Aunt Dee Dee quite often, so Jimmy and I had a lot of fun together. Lost track of Jimmy till Diane's and Bob's anniversary and I was so glad to see him again!

We will miss Jim´s infectious laugh and his love of life. He left us with many fond memories that we cherish. Rest in peace. (His fried oysters were second to none and this photo shows him in action preparing them in 2003 for his investment club buddies!)

To the family and loved ones of Jim - I´m another member of the allergy crew who had the pleasure of working with Jim over the years. This picture embodies who he was -lighting up the room with his infectious smile and warm humor.
Wish you peace and comfort in the memories you have of him.

Dear Katleen... I worked in the allergy field with Jim for 25 years and his smile and good nature world light up a room while we were all working... I hold many wonderful memories in my heart of our times together with Jim while working and doing our "sales thing" to win the doctors over to RAST testing... so sorry for your loss...
