James A. Schulze
James A. Coach Schulze, 49, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, died on Friday morning, March 25, 2005 in Mid Valley Hospital Hospice, Peckville. He was born September 29, 1955 in Teaneck, New Jersey, the son of Virginia A. (Calsen) Schulze of Marietta, Georgia and the late Eugene Schulze. James was a resident of Hackettstown since 1993 and prior to that of Marietta. He attended Lehigh University, Bethlehem. He was the All Conference Offensive Guard no. 68 for the 1977 Lehigh University Engineers National Championship football team. He was the strength and conditioning coach for Georgia Tech University when they won a national championship. Since then, he worked for United Parcel Service in Mount Olive, New Jersey and later for the Home Depot, Mansfield, New Jersey. Survivors: In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Eugene F. Schulze Jr. of Marietta; two sisters, Virginia E. Schulze of Atlanta and Vanice DeVirgiliis of Athens, New York; his best friend, Alison, wife of Peter Murray, of Hackettstown. Services: memorial, will be held at the end of April 2005 at Lehigh University, Bethlehem. Please call the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, (570) 421-7760 after April 15, 2005 for service information.
