Kathy,
In this difficult time you gain strength by reflecting on the good. Jim was a co-worker, mentor and entrepreneur, but more importantly my friend. As he used to say “You go through life and maybe only have one or two true friends.” I consider him one of mine.

Mrs. Smulligan,

I'm so sad to hear of Jimmy's passing. You don't know me, but my sister was previously married to Jim. I want you to know that I was always very proud to have Jim as my brother-in-law. His nickname was Beanzo back then. He was someone I idolized as a young boy because he was so cool, When he took me for fast rides in his hot rod cars, it made all the neighborhood kids jealous. But what I remember most about Jim is his sense of humor. He wasn't afraid to be spontaneous and crazy. Thank you for putting his picture in the paper because that's how I remember him - laughing and smiling. My most sincere condolences to you and his Mom, Betty.
