Janice E. Sacks, 80, was formerly of Coopersburg and Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Gerald L.R. Jerry Sacks. Janice died Sunday, July 15, 2007, on what would have been their 57th wedding anniversary in the Hospice of the VNA of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Township. Born in Lehighton on December 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Raymond S. Larash and Helen (Holman) Larash Beers. Janice worked as a medical technologist for Clymer Health Clinic, Quakertown; St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill; Palmerton Hospital and Lehigh University, Bethlehem. She was a 1948 graduate of Moravian College, earning a bachelors degree in medical technology. She was a member of the former World Wide Church of God, Bethlehem. Survivors: Loving daughter, Mary Beth Hughes of Easton; two grandchildren, Jillian of Easton, Ian of Willseyville, N.Y. Services: Family and friends are invited to call 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown, followed by a service at 10 a.m. The interment will conclude services in Lehighton Cemetery.
