Jenny R. Fitting

Jenny R. Fitting, 73, of Allentown, died April 29, 2023 in her residence. She was the wife of David E. Fitting. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late J. Walter and Ruth (Yoder) Hackman. Jenny was a graduate of Eastern Mennonite College and Kutztown University. She was an elementary school teacher at Sheridan Elementary School for 7 years and later at Lehigh Christian Academy for 10 years. She also volunteered as an aide at Union Terrace Elementary School. She was an active member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, Ladies Bible Study teacher, and mentoring young women. Jenny is survived by her husband of 46 years, David; sons, Andrew Fitting and wife Quyen and Kevin Fitting and wife Pamela; grandchildren, Ruth, Priscilla, Braeden, Kiera, and Nolan; brother, Joseph Hackman and wife Marcia; sisters, Rose wife of Glenn Martin, Rebecca wife of John Hess, and Libby wife of Matthew Bauman. Funeral services will be held on Sat., May 6, 2023 at 10:30 AM in Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church. Interment will be in Swamp Mennonite Church Cemetery, Quakertown. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
