Joan M. "Joann" Tomko

Joan M. "Joann" Tomko, 79, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Jennie T. (Wojtusik) Repash. Joann was the loving wife of 57 years to David T. Tomko. Joann graduated from Liberty High School in 1954. She retired in 1984 from the Bethlehem Steel Co. as a member of the Executive Sales Dept. after 30 years of service. Joann was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was a Certified Diocesan Catechist, teaching 4th grade CCD; member of the Fellowship Club; past president of the Ladies Group and served as a greeter. Joann was past president of the Women's Group at Silver Creek Country Club and former vice-president of The Autumn Club of Bethlehem Twp. She enjoyed crafts; playing card games with friends in her card group and spending time with her family. Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David as well as 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles A. Repasch, Sr. Services: Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
