John Galgon Obituary

John J. Galgon, 72, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was a son of the late Helen E. (Hunara) and John J. Galgon, Sr. and was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Church. For the majority of his life, he was employed as a laborer for Good Shepherd Work Services. Upon meeting you, he would ask your name and called you that at each meeting (even if he wasn't always accurate.) John was raised to believe he was smart and handsome and cherished those traits every day. His smile and funny hats warmed your heart and he could charm anyone out of their pen. He kept every card he received because they made him feel special. He enjoyed puzzle books, watching TV, McDonald's coffee, and socializing. John loved Wildwood, the Allentown fair and celebrating his birthday. His giggle laugh, ability to see everyone genuinely and abundant hugs will be missed.

Survivors: sister, Barbara E. Dempsey (Edward); nieces, Lisa Marie Platske (Jim), Pamela Herman (Steve); nephew, Edward Dempsey (Kristyn). He was preceded in death by brother, Phillip J.

Contributions: Cay Galgon Life House

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM Friday in church, 924 N. Front St. Call 10 AM until Mass. Interment will be in church cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC. (www.stephensfuneral.com)
