I somehow just came across this that he had passed some time ago. He was my absolute favorite professor and inspired me and encouraged me in so many ways to continue on after lccc and major in criminal justice at Temple. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Professor Gasper was a great teacher and leader willing to go the extra mile for every student. He helped me graduate a semester early by taking on an independent study which created more work for himself. I will miss our weekly Penn State football conversations and your positive attitude. God bless you and your family.

I had the opportunity to meet Jack several years ago and served with him in the Community College Section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. He was always willing to join one of our panels and to share his knowledge and expertise with other professionals at our annual meetings. It has been my privilege to call Jack a friend and a colleague, and he will be greatly missed by all of us in the CC Section. My deepest condolences to the family. Go in peace, my friend.

My heartfelt condolences to Professor Gaspers family, friends, and students. He was a one of a kind professor. When I first started LCCC, I was undecided as to which career path and major I wanted to take...that is until I took Juvenile Delinquency class and met Professor Gasper. His experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm for criminal justice was contagious. He instilled in me the curiosity and passion to want to learn more and make it my career path. I loved my major so much that I joined the Justice Society club that he was the head of first I was treasurer then president. His classes and club enriched my entire college experience. He was an amazing mentor who was very caring and dedicated to his students. He brought relevant experience about his field and delivered it in an engaging way with always a touch of humor. After only two short years LCCC felt like home, and I have Professor Gasper to thank because he made us feel welcome, helped us grow and prepared us for success in our careers and had a positive impact in our lives. I looked forward to going to college everyday. He will always be in our hearts Thank you Professor Gasper ❤
