John H. Ritter, Jr., 82, of Williams Twp., passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospital – Fountain Hill. He and his wife, Lorayn A. (Eck) Ritter, shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Mildred (Heil) and John H. Ritter, Sr. John served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a custodian at Bethlehem Steel for many years before retiring. Survivors: Wife, Lorayn; children, Cynthia Neipert (Philip) of Freemansburg, Richard Mitman (Rosemarie) of Bethlehem, John Ritter, III (Viola) of Emmaus, Robert Ritter of Easton, Anna Pursell (Bret) of Easton, Susan Novak (Thomas) of Bath; brother, Amos Ritter and his companion Linda of Allentown; sister, Florence Hottenstein of Allentown; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by a brother Frederick Ritter. Services: Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. Relatives and friends may call from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, Allentown.
