John H. Schutter, Jr., 78, of Allentown, died January 21, 2010, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Louise J. (Dunn) Schutter. They were married for 54 years last June. He was a chassis scheduler at Mack Trucks in Allentown for 35 years until retiring. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late John H. Schutter, Sr. and Florence (Cease) Schutter. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Kim L., wife of Frederick Acker of South Whitehall Twp., and Gina A., wife of Chris Mihalik of Schnecksville; son, John H. Schutter, III and his wife Michele of Orefield, and Matthew C. Schutter of Jim Thorpe; sister, Florence Rogan of Tampa, FL; brothers, James Schutter of Kalamazoo, MI, William Schutter and his wife Judy of King of Prussia, PA, Richard Schutter and his wife Jill of Mountaintop, PA, and Robert Schutter and his wife Barbara of Bensalem, PA; and grandchildren, Scott, Valerie, Kevin, Jordan, Brooke, Zoe. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan. Services: Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts., Allentown. Call Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of ones choice.

Louise , so very sorry for your loss. Jack (as most people new him) will be missed. Jack will always hold a special place in our hearts. We thank you and your family for letting us (Jim and Myself(Mary) have had such wonderful memories of Him and you and your Children.
