John Selko Obituary

John J. Selko
John J. Selko, 67, of Hanover Township, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Mary N. (Nicrone) Selko. Born in Pittsburgh on February 12, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Sophie Selko. He was a graduate of Penn State University in 1960 and University of Baltimore (Md.) Law School in 1970. He passed both the Pennsylvania and Maryland bar exams. In August, 1960, he started work for Bethlehem Steel Corp. From January, 1987, to December, 1990, he worked in a private law firm and then was the patent attorney from 1990 to 1998 for Ingersoll Rand, Phillipsburg, New Jersey. He was a member of Silver Creek Country Club, Hellertown, where he was an avid golfer. Survivors: Wife of 44 years; son, John N. of Bethlehem; daughter, Cali L. Zawarski of Bethlehem; brothers, Robert of Pittsburgh, Ron in Florida; sister, Pat Houston in Massachusetts; two grandchildren. Services: Private. No calling hours.
