I am so very sorry and sad to hear of Johns passing. His mom was one of my first friends when we moved back to the Seattle area so I met John as a four year old. His younger brother Jeff became my son Matts best friend as young boys. John spent many days at our house and I have many fond memories of the three boys playing together and even including Matts younger sister Ashley in some of their antics. Im disappointed to not have had the opportunity to have known him as an adult. But I did get a pretty good sense of the kind of man he grew up to be as I read his blog. I cant imagine the pain you must be feeling at his loss. Im thinking of all of you with sincere sympathy.

I am so sad to hear about John. I knew him growing up as he was the older brother of my brothers best friend (Jeff). Our backyards connected and my brother and I (when I got to tag along) would hop the fence to go to their house. I have a vivid memory, clear as day, of being included in a video the boys were making and that my line was look, honey, locals. I had no idea even what that meant at the time but I felt so proud to be included as the little sister tagging along. I wish I had known him as an adult, sounds like he grew up to be a very special man. Thinking of you all.

I am very sorry to hear about this. John was my supervisor and colleague for a period a few years back when I was a student, and he made an impression on me. A warm human being, and a clever man, with so much to give. Hard to believe. Rest in peace, John. My sympathies to his loved ones.

I will always remember you Uncle Johnny!! The memories and joy you have brought to my life will be with me forever. There is not another individual who was more caring and most of all comical. He always was the light of any event and the jokester of the family. Rest In Peace uncle. I love you!! Aunt Susie and I am so sorry for your loss and I love you too!
