Jack became my first friend when my family moved to Cherokee St when I was six years old in 1949. We were close friends for a lifetime. We shared enough Hiller´s memories and stories to last for another lifetime. Rest in peace old buddy.

You have made your final general quarters. The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. You stand relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The carrier has turned into the wind preparing for your final launch. Taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.
