John Toth Obituary

John W. Toth, 80, of Fountain Hill, passed away on October 13, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Svirzofsky) Toth with whom he shared over 59 years of loving marriage. Born in Allentown on March 26, 1943, he was the son of the late Julius and Gizella (Hujsz) Toth. John worked as a Millwright for Bethlehem Steel for many years, where he was extremely involved with the local steel union. He honorably served his county in the US Navy. John was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. John loved traveling to Florida every year for over 20 years. Above all he cherished his time spent with his family, never missing any event.

Survivors: John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen; daughters, Victoria Becker and her husband Scott of Horseheads, NY, and Jaclyn Toth of Walnutport; grandchildren, Shawn Becker, Christopher Becker, and Rachel Becker; sisters, Marlene Deutsch, and Elizabeth Bosak; nephew, Robert Bosak; sister-in-law, Joan Susski. He was predeceased by son, David Toth.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill PA 18015 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM to the time of service. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in John's memory to any veteran's charity of one's choice.

Jack became my first friend when my family moved to Cherokee St when I was six years old in 1949. We were close friends for a lifetime. We shared enough Hiller´s memories and stories to last for another lifetime. Rest in peace old buddy.
