Jonathan Keller Obituary
Jonathan M. Keller, 21, of Northampton, died Sunday March 23. Jonathan was home for the weekend from East Stroudsburg University to spend time with family and friends. After sharing in a beautiful Easter meal with his family, Jonathan was returning back to school and was fatally stricken on route 512 in Bushkill Township. He was the son of Dennis J. and Lori A. (Shearer) Keller of Northampton. He was a junior at E.S.U., majoring in math, secondary education. He was a member of the Ultimate Club and the Frisbee team captain. Jonathan was a 2005 graduate of Northampton Area High school and was a member of the volleyball team. He also enjoyed bowling and was a Hampton Junior Bowler. He was a member of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton. Survivors: Jonathan is survived by his parents; sister, Amy Keller at home; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Keller of Northampton; maternal grandparents, Francis and Maryann Morgan of Northampton, and Leonard and Sandra Schearer of Palmerton; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Poandl of Northampton; paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Wuchter of Catasauqua; girlfriend, Caitland Hawk of Scranton; several aunts, uncles; cousins. Services: will be Friday, March 28 at 9:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Call Thursday 5-8 p.m. and Friday 8:30-9:15 a.m. in the funeral home. Monsignor John Mraz will be the celebrant. Contributions: May be presented to St. Jude Childrens Foundation and/or Angel 34, Nicole Sheriff memorial, c/o funeral home.

Jon I love you and miss you, I was out and heard Prisoners of Society and it remind me of you, not that your not always in my thought but it made me cry and reminded me of all you tought me, and all the good times we had, you where my best friend, a brother, my mentor, teacher, a listener, everything, lost without you. But your still teaching me...you are always on my mind hope you and scott are having fun love the both of you and miss you more than anything.

i just discovered this sad news today...i cannot begin to catch my breath...for the family and for his dear sister Amy..i recently lost 4 family members and it makes my chest heavy...this young man was a great younster and made the life of his parents so full and happy...a great loss for us all..love and peace of heart to all involved

Jonathan Keller an angel in the sky. I pray for your family a lot. Losing a child I can not imagine the agony of what your family went through. There are no words to console them. I always say God takes people because he needs you somewhere else. Watch over your mom and dad and Amy for I know there isn't a day that goes by that they don't think of you. Even though I hated that you wouldn't kill spiders for me, that I have to carry your body up a flight of stairs, yell at you bc you mocked me bc I mocked you... These things don't outweigh the pros. Best captain ever, always there to listen, loved my homemade wings, all our backyard fires, driving to class together, basement bar (old granddad), every single tournament even when you were on crutches, busted jeans crossing then frozen/iced dam, amazing roommate, outstanding friend and an acting brother. I miss you more than I can exclaim and what makes this even more sad is I know I am not the only one, one of many.

Hi Jonathan.....Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have but what about what we don't have. That we live everyday not just this day. To think, 3 years ago on this date ... you were still here with us ... making us all smile and laugh ... it raining today and it reminds me of your last ESU tournament -- how we froze in the cold rain making hotdogs and hamburgers for you and all your friends ... We are going to try & not be sad today but celebrate your short time with us. I can still remember when you were born. Such a happy day for us & then 21 years later taken from us.
