Joseph J. Casagrande
Dr. Joseph J. Casagrande, PhD, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born in Pen Argyl, he was a son of the late Anthony F. and Alvera (Susanetto) Casagrande. He was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School, Cornell University Magna Cum Lauda, and from the doctoral program in psychology at Purdue. His career with the Veterans Administration spanned 39 years. First at the Veterans Hospital in Wilkes Barre, and the last 15 years at the Veterans Clinic in Allentown.
He was a good man, upstanding and kind, and cared deeply about his patients from the Vietnam War through the wars of today. His family adored him and he will be deeply missed. His wife of 46 years, Rosann (Karlin) Casagrande; a son, Toby, and his wife Aime; and their two sons, Joey and Vinny, of Frenchtown, NJ; a daughter, Jenny Anne in North Carolina; and a brother in Kansas. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony P. Casagrande. Services:
