I remember many times sitting in his office as a child and young adult, and, when I was very young, his canny ways of tricking me into injections as I screamed! Later in life he was an encouragement to me as I entered nursing school, and gave me advice as I continued ("Know when to say 'no'. You can't save the world by working every minute of the day, running ambulance on your days off, and things like that. You need to take time off to recoup and spend time with your family.") He could be stern, and even bossy, as he was our physician from infancy -- but also made calls to the house and showed care to us throughout our childhood. He will be missed.

There will be many in the Upper Perkiomen and Perkiomen Valley that will sorely miss this good man. I was sad to read of his passing. In my infancy in 1969 I was near death two times due to respiratory issues. My parents took me to his practice at 2 am in the morning for one of the incidents. In tears my mother asked Dr. Bray why God would allow an infant to suffer they way I did in infancy. His response to my mother was, "God is love." I never had that type of incident again. At 47 I am now a Preacher of the Gospel and can affirm that God is indeed love. May you have met your God of Love doctor.

When we moved to the Perkiomenville area in 1973, Dr. Bray became our family physician. No appointments were necessary, you just went to his office and waited your turn. He had no nurse or receptionist, and a record of the visit was inscribed on a 3" X 5" index card.
Dr. Bray really listened to his patients. He explained how I could avoid serious sinus infections following an upper-respiratory infection. He recommended the decongestant Sudafed to be taken immediately when a cold started but warned me to be careful because they are addictive. To this day in 2015, I am still following his advice. He knew his business. When it's time to stop taking Sudafed, I must wean myself off or it is difficult for me to function. His advice has saved me 42 years of pain, many visits to the doctor, and many antibiotic prescriptions.
Thanks, Dr. Bray. May you rest in peace.
