Julia Campione Obituary
Julia R. Campione, 85, of Burlington, N.C., formerly of Easton, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2005. Born on August 28, 1919 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Palma (Agro) Monteforte. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Campione, who died in 1973. Julia was the proprietor of the Star Cafe, formerly in Easton before retiring in 1986. Before moving to North Carolina with her son a few years ago, she was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Easton. Survivors: She is survived by her sons, Anthony C. of Graham, N.C. and Richard R. of Whitehall; daughter, Barbara L Karbach of Ocean City, N.J.; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mary Strouse of Hilton Head, S.C.; brother, Louis Fichera of Phillipsburg. Services: will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Palmer Township, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Ninth and Lehigh streets, Easton. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Williams Township. Contributions: Memorial donations may be made in memory of Julia to the Alzheimers Association, 617A Main St., Hellertown 18055.

To the entire Campione Family:
Our hearts goes out to all of you. May the Lord afford you a measure of comfort and peace during this most difficult time in your lives. My fondest memories are when your mother would make Rich and I pasta and give him heck for something or anything. She always had that look in her eye as she was yelling at you Rich, that said she loved you. She was a wonderful woman, not to mention, strong, compassionate and tough as the day is long (just ask the old timers from the Star). Our prayers are with all of you. God Bless you Julia, and may he grant you eternal peace.

She was a wonderful, loving, gratious, and generous woman. More like a mother than a mother-in-law and I was blessed to be part of her family. She loved her family unconditionally and without limits. I will always remember her with love, laughter and friendship.
