Karl A. Rhoades
Karl A. Dusty Rhoades, 87, of Easton died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 20, 2009. He was the husband of Beatrice E. (Laubach) Rhoades for 65 years. Born in Pottsville, PA, Karl was the son of the late Harry H. and Margaret M. (Billman) Rhoades. He worked in the accounting department of Bethlehem Steel before retiring. Karl served in the Arny during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was an active member of his church. Survivors: Wife, Beatrice; daughters, Peggy Bickel of Easton, Kay Mancke and her husband, David, of Allentown, Cindy Navone and her husband, John T., of Easton; grandchildren, Kevin, and Alan Craig, Jeremy and Jennifer Mancke, John K. and Jamie Navone; three great-grandchildren. Services: memorial, 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 in the church. Call one hour prior to the service. Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc. Contributions: May be sent to St. Pauls III Lutheran Church, 2561 Newburg Rd. Easton, PA 18045 or St. Lukes Hospice-VNA, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Bea, Peggy, Kay and Cindy,
I am so sorry about Karl. He was truly the best!!! I will never forget him. He loved all of you so much and was so proud of all of you and his granchildren. I am praying for you and especially for Karl.Remember all of the great memories you had with him. He told me about alot of the great memories he had with all of you.Ed and Andrew also wanted me to tell all of you how sorry they are.We are thinking about all of you.
