Janey - Don't ask about the convoluted way that I ended up at your husband's obit. Also - quite a bit "after the fact." However, I do vaguely remember him, and am so sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like he was a great guy and I hope that you have many awesome memories of your lives together in your heart. I also remember being friends with you and Julie Culp in grade school. Find me sometime, if you want to do a trip to the West.

Janey, I was saddened to learn of Ken's death. I was bored one day and googled the both of you. But unfortunately Ken's obituary came up. I was not surprised by his professional achievements; he was one of the smartest men I knew. He was a great guy and a hell of a hurdler. I know you will miss him.

Dear Janey and Notary family,
What a privelege I have had knowing Ken through those teen years, church, and Camp Allegheny. I always looked up to Ken and he was and will continue to be an inspiration to all that knew him.
Remember the time you and he drove me to Camp Allegheny in the volkswagen? I do, I sat in the back!

My sympathy to the Notary Family. Growing up as Ken's little cousin, I always admired him so much. He was fun and smart and never minded me tagging along. He was a great role model, even if he didn't eat his green beans.

Janey,
This was maybe happening even as we spoke on Wednesday?...unbelievable. I am unable to be with you all this afternoon in person but know that you are in my heart and prayers as you grieve Ken's loss and honor his memory. I was of course deeply saddened to hear this news. I know the Lord is with you all, may you experience His comfort and deep peace at this difficult time.

Janey and family,
I am deeply sorrow for the loss of Ken. I can express no words of comfort which probably can ease the pain at this time. Yet, I know that Ken is in the embrace of our Savior. The days of seeing dimly as looking through a mirror are gone. Now he stands face to face with Jesus basking in His light, love and presence. Ken's life was a testamony of his love for and his devotion to Jesus. I am a better person for having know Ken. My thoughts and prayers will continue for you and the family.

We didn't expect Ken to "go Home" so soon either. We will always treasure his friendship and Christian witness to our family in Bethlehem. And we will remember his presence along with Janie at the memorials for our parents. What a life of blessing God has given us to celebrate through our tears! You and your family are and will continue to be in our prayers.

Janie, I wish I could be at the service on Sunday, but I have to be out of town. Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you find comfort in knowing Ken is at rest with the Lord, but I am sure you weren't prepared for his going so soon. The shock must be overwhelming. I know friends and family are there giving you support and strength in this difficult time. May all the wonderful memories of your loving husband bring you comfort in the days ahead.
