Lois Martisofski

Lois Martisofski, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 57 years, Daniel R. Martisofski, Sr., died in 2010. Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late William and Emily (Floyd) Sauers. She was employed as the deli manager at the former Schoenen's Food Market for many years before retiring. She and her husband owned and operated the former Peacock Hotel in Freemansburg. A member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Survivors: Son, Daniel R., Jr. (Lynn) of Bethlehem; daughters, Debra (Frank) Pavlov of Bethlehem, Joyce Gerber of New Tripoli and JoAnn Luknicki of Whitehall; sister, Linda Kern of Orefield; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, William Sauers. Services: 10 a.m., Monday, August 29, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
