Marie Strait Obituary
Marie H. Strait, passed away on February 20, at the Hospice Unit in Lehigh Valley Hospital at the age of 81. She was born in Allentown to the late Stephen and Anna (Dolinsky) Columbo. Marie was raised in Allentown as a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was an avid Bridge player, and a long time member of the Allentown Municipal Golf League. Marie was predeceased by her son Russell P. Strait III in 1994, and her husband of 58 years, Russell P. Strait Jr. on February 21, 2007. Survivors: Daughter, Nancy and husband David Bjorson of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; sister, Irene and husband Albert Bigatel of Allentown; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 15 nieces and nephews. Services: Memorial, 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8, with calling from 11 a.m. until time of service, both at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton Street, Allentown. www.weberfuneralhomes.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, may be made to the Special Olympics of the Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
