Mark Hoffner Obituary
Mark E. Hoffner, 45, of New Tripoli, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Karen S. (Croteau) Hoffner. Born in Allentown, July 29, 1968, Mark was the son of the late Claude E. and Dolores A. (Herman) Hoffner. He owned and operated H & H Fabrication in New Tripoli since 1997. Prior to that, he was employed at Amity Machine Co. in Alburtis, the former William F. Deibert, Inc. in South Whitehall Township, and the former Grims Sales & Service in New Tripoli. Mark was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Slatington, the Heidelberg Game Association, and the United Jr. Order of American Mechanics. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Karen; daughter, Samantha A. Hoffner at home; stepson, Staff Sergeant Edward G. Graybill IV and his wife, Julia, of Groton, CT; stepdaughter, Linzi M. Graybill and her fiance, Ricky Bowman, of Macungie; siblings, Barry R. Krause and his wife, Betty, of Slatington, Sheila L. Troxell and her husband, Richard, of Allentown, Alan J. Hoffner and his wife, Julie, of Slatington; grandson, Russell. Services: A memorial service will be held 4 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014, in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. David L. Hess officiating. Visitation period from 2:30 to 4 p.m., Friday, in the funeral home. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.

I have so many fond memories of Mark. When he was younger he spent many, many days at my home after snowmobiling and just hanging out. You were very special to me and my family. My greatest memory of you will be the last horseshoes held at your house. Even tho you were sick and in pain you spent the night out with all of us making sure we all had a great time. Alan, We are so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Mark for almost 20 years but only recently had gotten to know him as a friend. I enjoyed the times we shared riding together. The few times we spent together will leave some of the best memories. It was an honor to call him friend.
