Mary Allen Obituary

Mary Allen
Mary (Schulter) Allen, formerly of 1326 Fourth Street, North Catasauqua, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 in Kingsland, Texas, of natural causes, attended by her sons. She was the wife of the late James L. Allen Sr. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mary Schulter. She served as secretary to Judge Ethan Allen Gearhart, Lehigh County Orphans Court, for several decades. She was active in the community and was past president of the Catasauqua Womens Club. She was a long time active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Catasauqua, and more recently, a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, North Catasauqua. Survivors: She is survived by her loving sons, Joseph Allen of Buchanan Dam, Texas, and James L. Allen Jr. of Sugar Land, Texas; her grandchildren, James L. allen III of Chestnut Hill, John Allen of Longmont, Colorado and Lindsay Allen of Kingsland; two great-grandchildren, Griffen and Kira Allen. Services: will be held at 10:40 a.m. on Monday in the ODonnell Funeral Home, 1064 Fifth St., North Catasauqua, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Lawrence Catholic Church. There will be a calling period from 9:30-10:40 a.m. in the funeral home. Contributions: May be made to St. Lawrence.

Joe and Jim, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She will be missed. I am sorry I am unable to be there for the Funeral. She was a great woman, fun loving and full of vigor. I remember all the good times that we encountered with your family and mine. Please accept our sympathy from Myself, my wife Dee and my Mother Helen.
