Michael Brusko
Michael Brusko, 79, of Whitehall, passed away on Saturday January 23, 2010 in the inpatient unit of Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. He was the husband of Vincentine G. (Carfara) Brusko and they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this past October. Born in Egypt, PA, Michael was a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Katchur) Brusko. Michael was an advertising sales representative for the Morning Call in Allentown for 18 years prior to retiring in 1993. Prior the the Morning Call, he worked in advertising for the former Falks Department Store, and as a store manager for the former Woolworths Department Store. He served with the US Army during the Korean War. Michael was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Catholic Church in North Catasauqua where he was a reader and the choir director for many years. Michael also held various offices on the Church Council over the years. He was an actor and had many male leads in performances for MUNOPCO (Municipal Opera Company, CLT (Civic Little Theatre) and the Guthsville Playhouse. Survivors: Surviving with his wife Vincentine, are sons, Michael and his wife Deborah of Zionsville, Andrew and his wife Patricia of Whitehall, and Dr. Gregory and his wife Joann of Bethlehem; Grandchildren, Andrew C., Zachary, Hillary Quay, Mallory, Michael, G. Damian, and Cameron; Great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Alexandra, and Ryleigh. Michael was predeceased by a brother, Andrew. Services: Funeral Services will be on Wednesday January 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Catholic Church. Calling will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the church. Burial and Military Honors will follow in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in North Catasauqua. Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the church 1023 Fifth St. N.
