Michael Dapko Obituary
Michael Frank Dapko, 71, of Allentown died Thursday, October 10. He was the husband of Yvonne (Bonaskiewich) Dapko. They were together for 20 years. Born in Easton, PA on March 20, 1942, a son of the late Stella C. (Abakan) and Michael B. Dapko. He served in the U.S. Navy as a A03 in the Vietnam War. Michael was a Mechanic at James River Corp Wilson Boro, PA. retiring October 8, 2004 with over 35 years of service. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Lisa, wife of Tim Unger; sons, David Dapko, Michael W. Dapko; step-daughters, Jacqueline, wife of Timothy Romig, Joan, wife of Taryn Kulp, Lisa Bryfogle-Aguilar; step-son, Larry Bryfogle; brother, Richard Dapko; three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter. Services: Memorial Service 12 Noon on Monday, October 21, David J. Boyko Funeral Home, Macungie, PA 18062. Call 11 a.m. until time of service. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Home Rehabilitation Services, 850 South 5th Street, Allentown, PA 18103.

Dear Dapko family, although I do not know any of you, I was friends with Michael through the gym at Good Shepard, we met there, talked, became friends. I knew he was going in for a knee replacement and was shocked to learn, from others at the Good Shepard gym, that he had passed away. I am very saddened and send you my deepest sympathies, condolences during this time of sorrow. It was always a pleasure to see him at the Good Shepard gym and talk to him. I am very sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss Rich and to all those who loved and new him as well. As my brother said we all had great times growing up together. When we all get together in heaven what a great day it'll be. Maybe they have a strip like N'hmptn St. where we can drag race like we used to. We still have those wonderful memories of him that we will never forget. God Bless Paul and Bonnie

I'm deeply sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I have many fond memories growing up with Mike and his brother. When my time comes, I'll get together with Mike and we'll play a game, maybe a little kick the ricky, kick the can, or block chase to name just a few of the many games we played together. Or we'll go back to the creek for a dip. Those were the days. God Bless you all.
