Mickey Taylor Obituary
Mickey J. Taylor, 40, of Bethlehem, formerly of Washington, N.J., passed away May 21, 2004, of natural causes in Bethlehem. Born in Plainfield, N.J., he was a son of Clement J. Mickey and Adele P. (Scherer) Taylor O Washington. Mickey worked for Mack Trucks as a design engineer for the past 15 years. D.J. Mick also owned S.S. Entertainment of the Lehigh Valley since 1987. Mickey was a member of the Heights Athletic Association, Independent Citizens Club, Bethlehem Township, Grover Cleveland Democratic Club, 540 Democratic Club, Edgeboro Democratic Club, Roosevelt Democratic Club and Monocacy Field and Stream, all of Bethlehem, Lower Saucon Sportsman Association and Dewey Fire Company, both of Hellertown, Tri-Boro Rod & Gun, Northampton, and Limeport Athletic Association. He was an avid Biker. Mickey attended Northampton Community College and the Allentown campus of Penn State University, obtaining an engineering certificate this year. He was running for alternate committee person for EBU Distrct 1, UAW Local 667, Allentown. Survivors: Parents; companion, Kathleen M. Tzope of Bethlehem; daughters, Mandee Alexis Taylor and Sydney Olivia Taylor, both of Nazareth; brother, Scott T., and sister-in-law, Alison R. Taylor, and their children, Scott T. Jr., Samantha A. and Amy N., all of Effort; sister, Tracy A. Stolte, and brother-in-law, Joseph D. Stolte, and a godchild, Joseph Mickey Stolte, all of Phillipsburg, N.J. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Contributions: Dream Come True, P.O. Box 21167, Lehigh Valley 18002.

I just learned about Mickey's passing I was shocked and deeply saddened... He and I were very close when we were 14&16. He was a wonderful friend. The last time I spoke with him was upon my grandmother's passing (1990)... he cared about her & always stopped by to see her, a testament to his character.
I'd very much like to send a note to his family~ I would appreciate it very much if someone would
email me directly the correct mailing address for his mom and dad.

Mickey always lived for the day... Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, but Today is a gift... that's why we call it the present. Mickey was a truly gifted individual and I will miss him greatly.

Kit Kat Sorry I (Diane) could not attend the services with Dave, due to work and watching my granddaughters....Mick was a great guy and will be sadly missed....We are so sorry.

Mick will truly be missed by all of his friends at Mack Trucks. He could always cheer up the department with his actions and words. We've had so many memories of Mick over the last 16 years here at work and the "Mick adventures" will certainly live on. He was a legend! My deepest sympathy to Family and Friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Mick when I worked for National Cash Advance. Mick you were truly a wonderful and funny guy and you will be sadly missed. I will never forget Esther & Jeff's wedding we had a great time. You were a great DJ.
