Nicholas Fetchko Obituary
Nicholas T. Fetchko, 28, of Northampton died Saturday morning in Allen Township. Born October 11, 1982 in Allentown, he was the son of George M. and Frances M. (Dries) Fetchko of Northampton. Nick worked for the Boiler Makers Local # 13 of Philadelphia. He was previously employed by Tom Hildebrand Construction in Walnutport. He was a member of St John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. Nick loved to travel and lived life to its fullest. He enjoyed BMX Trail Riding with his family and friends. He was a 2000 graduate of Northampton High School and player football for the NAA. Nick always wanted to make a difference and help others. He had a passion for the Locks of Love organization and would donate his hair as often as possible. Survivors: Besides his parents; sister, Rebecca L. Fetchko and her fiance, Christopher Marth, of Northampton; brother, Andrew G. Fetchko, of Northampton; paternal grandmother, Anna (Latzko) Fetchko, of Cementon; maternal grandfather, Lawson Dries, of Maxatawny Township; niece, Olivia R. Marth, of Northampton; several uncles; aunts; and cousins; close friends, Lauren Ford and Stefany Slowik; pet dog, Maggie Mae. Services: Divine Liturgy will be Saturday, November 27 at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 St., Northampton. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Northampton. Contributions: May be presented to Catty Woods, payable to Jay Crowsson c/o Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 St., Northampton, PA 18067.

I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for the loss of Nick Nick. You guys are my second family and Nick was like a brother. At one point or another me and Nick would travel,ride bmx,see shows,party, fight with each other and on many ocassions fight for each other all together. He was such a unique and loved person. He will always be one of Olivia's most favorite uncle's because his neice was the light of his life and he will always and forever be her Godfather. Nick loves that girl more then anything and it showed everytime that big smile came across his face when he saw her and you could surely tell by all the clothes and other stuff he always bought her! I have no dought Nick will now and forever live on through that baby girl. She now truly has a guardian angel by her side. Your family has been so good to me over the years and i love you all. I have sat down so many times to do this to honor both Nick and you all and I couldnt do it, still cant but....people grow up but dont grow away and its been 26 some years of knowing everyone of you and i cant imagine the hurt inside you have. I sit here and recall one of Lee's best playmate-fishing, super-soaker battles (lees was always battery charged to get that last squirt in on Nick) how Nick would come up to help Lee with jobs-he painted and sanded my cabinets, he knew the exact way to make cement but hated playing school with the girls, especial THOSE TWINS...they drove him nuts...but even now with them older it was a constant to see him and talk to him and to hear all the wonderful places he has been to or done through the eyes of his proud father. Frannie-George he grew into a wonderful, caring person because of your family bonds. Bec/Andy he completed you all so well..it was like he was the balance always. So very very sorry. Sandi HIppert

I didn't know Nick prior to the accident. My deepest condolences go to his family and friends. I was at the accident that night, had never heard of him prior, but from what I have read he seemed like a really amazing, genuine guy. It is amazing the lives that he has touched.
