Paul Allender Obituary
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Arthur A. and Dorothy M. (Jones) Allender. Paul worked as an underground repairman and Technical Training Specialist at PP&L for 40 years until retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Greenleaf Lodge #561 F&AM, 32 Degree Mason in the Lehigh Consistory and longtime member of the Rajah Shrine. Paul attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Emmaus. He was a lifetime member of the Fearless Fire Company in Allentown, loved his motorcycle and was an animal lover.
Survivors: Paul was a wonderful husband to his wife, Linda. He is also survived by his brother, Todd A. Allender and his wife Sandy of Orefield; sister, Susan E. Allender of Durham, NC; many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by a sister Marianne L. Sickonic.
Services: At the request of Paul's family, all services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, may be made to the Lehigh County Humane Society, 640 Dixon Street, Allentown, PA 18103.

Dear Linda, Todd, Susan & entire Allender family,
Thinking of you with deep, heartfelt sympathy. I was shocked & saddened to learn of Paul´s passing. I have many years of fond memories of times spent with the Allender family. Paul - so kind, funny, & thoughtful. Linda, you both were so blessed to find love with one another. I wish you comfort, peace & strength now & always. You are all in my thoughts & I cherish the memories of those happy, simpler times. May Paul rest easy. I know his & your love will endure always.

My heartfelt sympathy to Linda and Paul's family. I had the pleasure of being on Paul's working crew for many years in downtown Allentown and later at the training center. It was an honor to work with a master craftsman who became a great influence in my life. As an instructor his patience and knowledge helped many apprentices learn their trade He was a great instigator who loved to have fun while at work. I could tell stories of some of his antics for hours. Paul was like a big brother to me and I will miss talking with him over a burger and a beer. May you rest in peace my friend.

Condolences to Linda and Paul's entire extended family,
This is so sad. Paul was a great person and he will be truely missed. My wife Roxanne really enjoyed working with him at the Training Center also. When he worked for me, we had many a good discussion on a variety of issues. I had him responsible to lay out the electrical training yard at the PPL Training Center. What an outstanding electrical training facility it turned out to be created by one first class individual. God bless your soul and Rest in Peace.
