Raymond Warren Barby
Raymond Warren Barby, 90, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Resident of Macungie, PA formerly from Willow Grove, PA, he was son of the late Alfred and Emma Barby. Raymond was employed by the Bell Telephone Company when he graduated from Germantown High School in 1939. He entered the service in 1942 and served in World War II in the United States Army until 1945. He continued with the phone company after returning from service until 1977 when he retired from his Data Consultant job. Raymond spent his late years as a loving husband/father and devoted grandfather. Survivors: Raymond is survived by wife, Blanche F. Barby; daughter, Karen L. Eggert; sons, David W. Barby, Jon N. Barby, James P. Barby; son-in-law, Mark G. Eggert; daughters-in-law, Amy Barby and Toni Barby; 11 grandchildren, Deborah, Andrew, Sarah, Jennifer, and Laura Eggert, Joshua, Jacob, and Molly Barby, Nora and Randy Sabo, Christine Barby; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter Leslie D. Sabo.
