Richard Joseph "Rich" Kubik

1949 - 2021

Richard "Rich" Joseph Kubik, age 72, of Lower Nazareth, PA, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Saturday, June 19, 2021 of pancreatic cancer. He was born on June 16, 1949, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Joseph and Irene Kubik. Rich married Margaret "Peggy" Kachurak on July 24, 1971. They would have been married 50 years this year. After high school, Rich attended Wilkes University and graduated with an Associate's Degree in 1971. Rich accepted a job at Mack Printing in Easton, PA, in 1975, where he would work for the next 37 years. After the Cadmus facility closed in 2012, Rich retired for about a year before starting his second career at Kelly Nissan, where he was employed until his passing. He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, of Nazareth. Rich will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He particularly loved spending time with his granddaughters, Mia and Cam. They will miss their Pop. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kubik. Rich is survived by his wife, Peggy; his daughter, Jen Gruce and her husband Geoff; his granddaughters, Mia and Cam; his mother, Irene; his brothers, Paul Kubik, Joseph Kubik and his wife Donna; sister, Judy Daniels and her husband Joel; also by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Family and friends of Richard are invited to a visitation on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc., 220 Washington Park, Nazareth, PA 18064. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 410 W. Center St., Nazareth. A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, June 26, at Saint Stephens Cemetery, Jackson Rd., Lehman, PA.
