"> Richard J. Wright
Richard Orville J. Wright, born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on November 20, 1924, passed away December 19, 2007, at Moravian Village, Bethlehem. He was the son of the late Frances (Boyle) and Willard Wright. Dick will always be remembered and live in our thoughts and hearts. Alexandra Melinchok featured him as one of her favorite people in her 'Star of the month' presentation she did for her school last week. In assemplying the pictures to show her class she had a dozen of them on the kitchen counter and one of them face down. I knew the one face down was Dick's. I kindly asked her 'Is this Dick's picture?' Yes, she nodded sadly. 'Everyone will be sad' she said. I told her that although we are sad we are also happy of all the memories we have of him and that he will truly live in our memories. Christmas is a time of hope and we are hopeful that Dick is resting peacefully next to the newly born Jesus. My favorite memory of Dick is when he drove Peter's grandmother and grandfather down to Silver Spring, MD, for them to see their newly born grandson, Peter. Dick's picture holding newly born Peter in his hands is close to my heart.
