Robert F. Lefty Klan, 90, of Center Valley, died February 5, 2007 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the widower of the late Arlene L. (Krasley) Klan. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Duetsch) Klan. He was an all-star high school baseball player and tried out with the St. Louis Browns. He was in the hotel business for many years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Allentown. Survivors: Son, Terry C. Erney and his wife, Patricia, of Allentown; daughter, Gail A., wife of Gary V. Lieberman Sr., of Center Valley; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Services: Funeral services Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Schantz Funeral Home Inc., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Friends may call 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
