Robert F. Noctor

1934 - 2018

Robert F. Noctor, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday evening, August 7, 2018 at Holy Family Manor. Beloved husband of Ruth-Jean (Nehilla) and devoted father of John and Daniel. Bob was born in FountainHill, on November 23, 1934 to the late Patrick and Edith (Smith) Noctor. Bob and Jean were married for 63 years and settled on 5th Street in South Bethlehem, where they resided for just shy of 50 years. Bob's career was in the advertising industry. As a young salesman, he would whistle "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" as his calling-card while walking the business district visiting clients. After his retirement, he continued working at the Valley Voice, and as a licensed tax-preparer at H&R Block in Hellertown. Throughout his life, he was active in community and civic organizations, donating his time and more. SURVIVORS: Bob will be missed by his wife Jean; his sister Doris Woodward of NC; his sons John and wife Donna of Zionsville, Daniel and wife Diane of Hellertown; grandchildren Luke and wife Sara Sweatlock and Alec Noctor; great grandchildren John and Liliana; in-laws Leonard and Rose Marie Feist, Florence Noctor, and Richard Curry. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, and many friends. He was predeceased by his brothers William and James. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday August 11, 2018 at Incarnation of Our Lord Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6 - 8 PM and again on Saturday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM all at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway Fountain Hill.
