Cindy, Jan, and Val.
My deepest sympathy. I only knew him a few years but his sense of humor was what I remember most. What will always stick in my mind is when I had just met Cindy and was over for dinner. He stood there with a stern face smoking his big cigar and just stared at me. I know he was just giving me a hard time just to see me sweat for the heck of it. I used this ploy on my two girls boy friends as they grew up and it was alot of fun. God bless you and may you find the peace knowing he has gone on to a much better place. My thoughts. prayers and sorrow are with each of you.

Dear Leona,Cindy, Jan, Val and all the family who loved Roger so dearly,

My sincere and heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your Husband/Dad/PopPop and friend.

Leona, over the years Cindy has told me many stories of your lovely relationship with Roger, what a lucky man he was to have found you and how much you enjoyed each others company. Knowing the days and weeks ahead will be very difficult for you, please remember the joy and love you gave to Roger over the years and gain comfort in the knowledge that it was so appreciated by Roger and his daughters.

I met Roger when I was in the 6th grade, he made me feel welcome in his home and made me laugh. I didn't get his sense of humor way back then, but I caught on over the years.

Jan and Cindy, I know how much you loved your Dad and how difficult the days ahead will be for you. Your amazing sisterhood will be a comfort and the knowledge that you always gave your best to your Dad.

Cindy, I love you. Be well and always remember, c-o-l-d water. Classic Dad.

Leona- Jan - Cindy - Valerie,

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a your loss. But we cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they protected in the Pacific theater of war during WWII.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have called him Husband & Dad.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Brian-Ann Marie, James-Ilene, William, and Michael
