Roger Floyd Ux

1943 - 2022

Roger Ux was called home to our Lord on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Roger was born on June 5, 1943, in Slatington, PA. Roger married Cheryl (Jackson) Ux in 1966 and raised 3 daughters. He was a dedicated father and grandfather to his girls and grandchildren. He was a graduate of Boyertown Senior High School in 1961 and a veteran of the United States Army. Roger began his career at Reading Mack, followed by a few independent ventures. He then spent 20 years in Research and Development for Mack Trucks in Allentown, PA. His passion was working with the team to design, test, and optimize future heavy-duty truck models. He was a member of a project sponsored by Mack Trucks to design a space lab modeled after the space shuttle for the Parkland School District. In addition to working at Mack Trucks, Roger spent many years building custom-designed Mack trucks at his home in Boyertown, PA. Roger was also a dedicated volunteer at America on Wheels museum in Allentown, PA. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothea (Geary) Ux, and Russell E. Ux and brother, Ronald Ux. Roger is survived by his wife Cheryl (Jackson) Ux, and his three daughters Wendy (Ux) Marburger, Susan (Ux) Escue, and Janice Ux. His brothers Richard "Dick" Ux, Keith "Rusty" Ux, and sister Kathryn "Kate" (Ux) Yeager as well as grandchildren Josie Reinhardt, Garret Reinhardt, Jackson Escue, and Sadie Ux. The family will host a celebration of life to honor his memory in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to America on Wheels.
