Ronald L. Eberts

Ronald L. Eberts, 69, of Effort, passed away at St. Luke's Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township on Sunday, August 14, 2022. He was the loving husband of Dianne J. (Bortz) Eberts. Ron and Dianne were together for 40 years and recently celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on June 30. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of Clara M. (Rodger) Eberts of East Allen Township and the late Kenneth C. Eberts. He was a graduate of Northampton High School, Class of 1971. Ron was a residential designer and architect for 30 years, until retiring. A talented musician and vocalist that learned to play-by-ear, Ron mastered several instruments and was very involved in Bluegrass with his wife, Dianne. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hecktown.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Dianne, and mother, Clara, he is survived by a brother, Timothy Eberts of Bath; a sister, Diana Berger of East Allen Township; two nieces, Tracy Berger-Carmen and husband, Larry, of Moore Township, and Dana Lyn Bortz and fiancé, Jay Levan, of Whitehall; three great-nephews, Richie, Donnie and Davey; mother-in-law, Joyce (Kreidler) Santos of Allentown; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Bortz and wife, Jean, of Emmaus. Ron was predeceased by a nephew, Richard R. "Ricky" Berger, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Richard R. Berger, Sr.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hecktown, 323 Nazareth Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18020. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath.
